Many people turned out for the activities that were offered.

ESTEVAN - The Estevan Fire Rescue Service celebrated Fire Prevention Week by hosting its annual open house on Tuesday night at the fire hall.

Many people turned out to enjoy the activities offered. Members of the fire department served up hot dogs and soft drinks for the public. People toured the fire trucks and the building.

Children enjoyed the obstacle course. The future firefighers sprayed water from a fire hose at targets.

Fire Prevention Week is Oct. Oct. 6-12. This year's theme is Smoke Alarms: Make them work for You, and the fire department had some smoke alarms available for people to take home.
