HUME - A portion of Highway 13 in southeast Saskatchewan was affected by two-vehicle collision Tuesday night.

The Saskatchewan RCMP said Weyburn members were at the scene of the collision, which occurred approximately five kilometres east of Hume. Detours were in place.

"Motorists should expect delays in the area. Please slow down and follow the instructions of emergency personnel on scene," the RCMP said in a news release.

As this investigation is in preliminary stages, the RCMP does not have additional details to share at this time.

The Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure's Highway Hotline initially reported the highway was closed in both directions. An update at 9:10 p.m. reported one lane was closed.

As of early Wednesday, the Highway Hotline showed the route was open again.

The Highway Hotline show most highways in the southeast to be bare with good visibility Wednesday morning.

SaskToday.ca will have more details as they become available.
