Update: Power restored in southeast Saskatchewan

Numerous communities were affected.

A large portion of southeast Saskatchewan was affected by the power outage.

SOUTHEAST SASKATCHEWAN - SaskPower crews have been responding to a large power outage in southeast Saskatchewan on Monday.

According to the SaskPower outage map and the Crown corporation's X account, the outage was first reported in the early afternoon. An update at 4:40 p.m. said crews were working to repair damage and estimate power to be restored at approx. 8 p.m. in Midale, Halibrite, Griffin and all surrounding areas.

SaskPower reported just before 8:30 p.m. that power had been restored in the affected areas. 

Another post at 5:13 p.m. stated that SaskPower crews have been dispatched and are determining the cause and repair time for an outage reported in Estevan. The outage was in north Estevan, and power has since been restored. 

"If your power hasn’t been restored, please call us at 310-2220, or report it online at http://saskpower.com/reportoutage," SaskPower said.
