Highways in southeast Saskatchewan have travel issues on Wednesday.

SOUTHEAST SASKATCHEWAN - Another blast of snow is hitting southeast Saskatchewan on Wednesday, creating challenging travel conditions on highways.

According to the Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure's Highway Hotline, visibility was reduced on numerous routes in the Estevan and Carlyle areas for much of Wednesday. These routes report such issues as swirling snow, loose snow, drifting snow, and icy or slippery sections.

The conditions in the Estevan area had improved, but visibility was still reduced in the Carlyle and Moosomin areas.

For updated conditions, check out the Highway Hotline's website.

Environment Canada is calling for about five centimetres of snow for the Estevan and Carlyle areas on Wednesday, followed by a chance of light snow on Wednesday night.

A winter storm struck much of the province on Sunday. In the southeast, it resulted in travel not recommended warnings on most roads. Highways in the Estevan area were closed Sunday night and into Monday.
