ESTEVAN—Members of the Estevan RCMP and Carnduff RCMP recovered a truck near the Saskatchewan-Manitoba border that had been reported stolen from Estevan, according to an Estevan Police Service (EPS) media release for Feb. 5-6.
The vehicle has been transported to the Estevan Police Service, where forensic analysis will be conducted as part of the ongoing investigation.
Police were also called to the Warm Welcome Kitchen for a report of a woman causing a disturbance. Officers located the woman, spoke with her and sent her home.
EPS received a report of an individual uttering threats. Statements are pending, and the matter remains under investigation.
On Feb. 4, EPS members assisted the Carlyle RCMP in attempting to locate an individual believed to be in Estevan. Local investigation determined the individual was not in Estevan but was returning to Carlyle RCMP jurisdiction. No further details were immediately available.
Police also conducted a wellness check on several children living with a caregiver in Estevan. Officers made contact and confirmed that all were safe and well.
