SOUTHEAST SASKATCHEWAN - There are now two candidates in Souris-Moose Mountain for the April 28 federal election.

Steven Bonk (Conservative Party of Canada) and Remi Rheault (Green Party) are the candidates declared by their respective parties for the southeast riding, but Bonk is the only one confirmed by Elections Canada as of the afternoon of March 30.

The People's Party of Canada had announced that Hannah Raketti would be their candidate for the election, but Raketti's candidacy for the riding has been removed from the party's website, and a new candidate has not been revealed.

The People's Party of Canada did not immediately respond to an email about Raketti's candidacy.

The federal Liberal Party and New Democratic Party have yet to announce candidates for Souris-Moose Mountain. Nominations close on April 7.

Incumbent MP Robert Kitchen announced last year he would not seek re-election.

SaskToday will continue to have coverage on Souris-Moose Mountain and elsewhere during the election campaign.
