ESTEVAN - Monday night's meeting of Estevan city council opened with some special presentations.
Allison Holzer and Tania Hlohovsky-Andrist were presented with Queen's Platinum Jubilee Medals by Estevan MLA Lori Carr and Estevan Mayor Roy Ludwig. They were saluted for their various contributions to the community.
Medals have been presented to people from the community at various functions and celebrations since a large community event in November.
Char Seeman was selected to receive a medal as well, but was unable to attend.
The city had a specified number of medals that it could hand out to people in the community for thier service.
