Harvey Hackney has been an avid gardener for more than 50 years.
But he has never had tomatoes as large as the ones he grew this year.
The Estevan resident dropped by the Mercury office on Tuesday afternoon to show off his produce. Four tomatoes had a combined weight of more than six pounds.
He said he often uses beefsteak tomato seeds, which result in large tomatoes, and he followed the same process to grow the tomatoes, but the results were still larger than ever.
