School exceeds their goal to raisie money for Terry Fox Foundation

Congratulations to the students of Wawota Parkland School, who raised $1,347.89 for the Terry Fox Foundation, exceeding their goal. Some staff members will be involved in goal achieving activities.

A memorial service was held at the Wawota Town Hall on Oct. 10 in honour of Denis Lamontagne. He passed away on March 28 at the age of 82 years.

Happy birthday to Keith's brother Conrad, of Regina, who celebrated his 83rd birthday on Oct. 11.

The Wawota Public Library is having a story hour for pre-schoolers every Wednesday at 2:30. It will involve stories , crafts and games. I am pleased to be a volunteer for this venture.

Charle and Lori-Lynn Brehaut, Avi, Lexi and Austynn have moved to their new home. They have purchased the Davis acreage west of town. We wish them well in their new environment.

With Halloween approaching, posters for your window are once again being offered. They are available for those who do not wish to have trick or treaters. They are $10 and all proceeds will be forwarded to UNICEF.

Stacey Heffernan, Kate and Sarah from Regina celebrated Thanksgiving with the Keith Olson and the Jake Lamoureaux families.

We received some sad news this past week when we learned of the passing of our daughter-law Stacey’s mother Marlene Melquist. She was originally from Arcola and lived at Limerick. She passed away on Oct. 6 at the age of 64 years.

For anyone who was away for Thanksgiving or had company, please share your news with me.
