One of Canada’s most well-known country music performers is coming to Affinity Place next year.
Johnny Reid will bring his What Love Is All About national tour to Estevan on Feb. 14. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the concert begins at 7:30 p.m.
Joining Reid on the tour will be country music singer Aaron Goodvin; rock and roll, country and soul singer JJ Shiplett; and Cape Breton fiddler and international performer Natalie MacMaster.
A critically acclaimed vocalist, Reid is widely known for his lyrics and musical ability, as demonstrated by his hit songs, album sales totalling more than 1.1 million, numerous awards and multiple sold out national arena tours.
What Love Is All About, produced by Bob Ezrin, is his first collection of new material since 2012’s Fire It Up.
Reid was born in Scotland, but moved to Canada when he was 13 years old. He has released eight studio albums and two Christmas albums, and his hits include A Woman Like You, Today I’m Going to Try to Change the World and Fire it Up.
Reid’s Tartan Army Fan Club will have first access to pre-sale tickets, beginning Dec. 11 via his website. Tickets for this show will go on sale to the general public on Dec. 17 at 10 a.m.
Reid is also partnering with Plus One on the tour. One dollar from each ticket purchased in participating markets will be directed to MusiCounts Band Aid Program, which keeps music classes alive in schools across Canada and funds the purchase of musical instruments for children.
