Researchers with the University of Regina, in collaboration with the Saskatchewan Arts Alliance and the City of Weyburn’s Leisure Services Department, are conducting a survey on arts, culture and recreation activities in Weyburn.
With the City’s new arts-culture facility, the Credit Union Spark Centre, set to open in October, the researchers want to do the survey both before and after the opening to gauge the impact of the facility on these activities in Weyburn.
Residents of Weyburn and the surrounding area are invited to complete the survey on a voluntary and anonymous basis, and will take about 15 minutes to complete.
The plan is to conduct another survey in the future after the Spark Centre is open, to see if anything has changed.
The survey covers many community activities, and participants do not need to be involved with any recreation or cultural activities to contribute.
This study received ethical approval from the University of Regina Research Ethics Board on June 12, 2020.
