ASSINIBOIA - The community came together for a purpose.
Steph VanDeSype, Recreation and Community Wellness Manager, said, “It was an amazing crowd Everyone who walked through the doors was ready to party and have a great time. The concession operators fed the VIP attendees an amazing supper,” noted VanDeSype.
Tyler Lewis brought along Lisa Moen to the show. While Lewis provided the opening set, he and Moen closed the show with a cabaret that had people dancing until the lights came on.
Attendees said Streetheart put on an incredible show that kept people singing and dancing throughout their performance.
VanDeSype exclaimed, “Streetheart was amazing to have on site, they were an incredible group of people.”
Residents noticed, and appreciated, an increase of traffic in town as a result of this big ticket event hosted in Assiniboia knowing that events like these benefit their community through both the hospitality industry and Assiniboia’s shopping opportunities.
The event was deemed a success and organizers say they will now be in full blown preparations for the next big event at Southland Co-op Centre in July, Australia’s Thunder from Down Under.
