Survivors begin their Victory Lap

Survivors line the track to begin their Victory Lap at Relay For Life held at River Park on Friday. The Victory Lap took place after the opening ceremonies and was the first lap of the evening.

Survivors line the track to begin their Victory Lap at Relay For Life held at River Park on Friday. The Victory Lap took place after the opening ceremonies and was the first lap of the evening. To inspire teams during Relay For Life there were a variety of activities and entertainment, including Relay For Life team games, children's activities, face painting and a silent auction that took place. A variety of local talent entertained at the gazebo, including the Weyburn Comp School S.T.A.R.S choir, artist Mike Froh and Haley Wiberg and demonstrations by belly dancers. There were 26 teams registered to participate in the 12-hour fundraiser. There was roughly $1 million raised for cancer research, with funds still being collected.
