Sweeping the way to Golden Garbage Can

All residents of the city are urged to clean up their yards and help beautify city parks, as Weyburn will be competing for the Golden Garbage Can against Estevan. Judging takes place on Monday, June 21 in Estevan and Tuesday, June 22 in Weyburn. This is the 54th year of competition for the Clean Up Campaign. It was started in 1956 by the health inspectors of Weyburn and Estevan. There has been 47 years of competition for the famed Golden Garbage Can between Estevan and Weyburn (1956 to 2003).
