WEYBURN – Weyburn’s own Tenille Arts has been nominated for a JUNO Award, for Country Album of the Year for her third album, Girl to Girl.
Learning of the nomination on Tuesday, Tenille said on her social media posts, “Being Canadian, The JUNO Awards are the pinnacle. This nomination, especially for an album I poured my heart into, means the absolute world to me. Thank you so so much!!”
The 2022 JUNOS will be presented on Sunday, May 15, with host Simu Liu, star of the Marvel movie, “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”.
This will be Simu’s first time hosting, but in 2019, Simu was joined by JUNO nominated rapper KILLY in presenting the Group of the Year Award.
Earlier, in February, Tenille had received word of a nomination as New Female Artist of the Year from the Academy of Country Music.
Those awards will be presented live on Monday, March 7 on Prime Video.
