Singer Tenille Arts loaded up on the hardware at the Saskatchewan Country Music Association’s awards ceremonies on Sunday night in Prince Albert, earning five awards in total.
“Wow! What an amazing night,” she said on her Facebook page after the awards presentation, where she won in all five categories she had been nominated in.
“I’m so proud of Saskatchewan and our amazing community of country music. It’s been a great year and it feels amazing to be recognized like this,” she said.
Her awards included Female Artist of the Year, and Album of the Year for “Rebel Child”, her first full-length album.
She was named Songwriter of the Year along with Adam Wheeler and Mark Narmore, for the song “Rain Drops, Dirt Roads”, Single of the Year for “What He’s Into”, and Video of the Year for “Cold Feet”, directed by Patrick Tohill.
She received national exposure in the U.S. and Canada as she was recently featured on the ABC-TV series, “The Bachelor”, and she has been living and working the last couple of years in Nashville, pursuing her dreams in country music.
Most recently, she did a concert at the Happy Nun Café in Forget, as the featured performer for a fundraiser for Teddy Bears Anonymous.
