The City of Weyburn will delay the opening of the indoor pool at the Weyburn Leisure Centre until later in the week.

WEYBURN – The City of Weyburn announced a temporary delay in the reopening of the Weyburn Leisure Centre (WLC) indoor pool.

The reopening, initially scheduled for Monday, Sept. 11, has now been rescheduled to take place later in the week.

This delay is due to the difficulty in sourcing replacement parts, such as valves and in-pool lighting, which has proven to be a challenge due to the facility's aging infrastructure.

This setback has also affected City maintenance staff's progress, as well as the scheduling of Public Health inspections to ensure water safety before reopening.

The City apologized for any inconvenience this may cause and thanks the community for its patience and continued support.

Affected user groups have been notified by email.

Further update will be provided on Sept. 11 on the City website at www.weyburn.ca
