City of Weyburn to end proof of vaccination requirements on Monday

The City of Weyburn will lift the proof of vaccination requirements at all city facilities as of Feb. 14

WEYBURN – Effective Monday, February 14, the City of Weyburn will remove the Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination or Negative Test Requirements for all City of Weyburn facilities. This is in alignment with the announcement made on Tuesday, February 8th by the Government of Saskatchewan to Remove the Public Health Order – Mandatory Isolation and Face Covering.

Masks

The Government of Saskatchewan announced the public health orders requiring masking in indoor public spaces will remain in effect until February 28, 2022. All patrons utilizing facilities while not engaged in physical activity will be required to wear a mask at all times.

Patrons of all ages utilizing facilities to participate in any form of physical activity may remove their mask while actively engaged in activity.

Rapid Test Kits

The City of Weyburn continues to provide residents of Weyburn and the surrounding area with rapid antigen testing kits at home. Kits are available at the Public Works Building (55 16th Street) Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to noon and 1-4 pm.

The City of Weyburn continues to work with the Province of Saskatchewan regarding the details surrounding current Public Health Orders. The City asks that in these unprecedented times, all attendees visiting City of Weyburn facilities be patient and kind with staff and other patrons as they work through the remaining few weeks of the current public health orders.
