ESTEVAN – The number of active cases of COVID-19 for South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan, keeps dropping, according to the daily figures supplied by the Saskatchewan Health Authority on Aug. 18 on the COVID-19 dashboard.
There were 28 active cases in Zone 4, down from 38 on Aug. 17, and one new case of COVID-19 reported on Aug. 18. This means there were 11 recoveries in the area.
As for the rest of the South East, there are two new cases in South East Zone 1, which is to the northwest of Estevan’s Zone 4, and five new cases in South East Zone 2, which is north of Zone 4.
There are now 71 active cases in the South East region. No people are in hospital in the South East. And another 13 people in the South East have recovered.
A total of 58 COVID-19 tests were processed in the South East on Aug. 17.
And another 60 doses of vaccine have been administered, bringing the total number of doses to 97,778. A total of 46,086 people in the South East are now fully vaccinated.
