Estevan Police Service handled numerous calls to start the week

Police investigating mischief to a garage that caused damage.

ESTEVAN - The Estevan Police Service made a couple of arrests early this week, and is also investigating a couple of incidents. 

An man was arrested for being unlawfully in a dwelling. Police were called to a residence in the city’s south end to a report of an uninvited person who had walked into a residence. He was arrested at that location.

Later in the day, police received a call about a vehicle being driven recklessly and damaging the front lawn of the Estevan Comprehensive School. Police have obtained video of the incident and are still investigating.

Police are investigating a report of mischief to a garage door in the 900-block of King Street. Damage was estimated at $1,300. Anyone with information regarding this or any other crime is asked to contact the EPS at 306-634-4767 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477.

Police responded to a young male who had fallen off his bike in the 700-block of Fourth Street.  EMS did attend to make sure that the child was okay physically before the child was picked up by a family member. With the upcoming Bike Safety Week from May 14-20, the EPS wants to remind everyone to wear a proper bike helmet when riding their bicycles.

Police arrested an Estevan man on May 10 for breaching conditions of his release order.
