ESTEVAN - The Estevan Police Service says it responded to 42 calls for service from Friday to Sunday.

Police were kept busy due to the adverse travelling conditions within the city on Friday. Calls included abandoned vehicles due to the weather and multiple collisions involving two or more vehicles. In several cases, vehicles needed to the be towed.

Police also attended to complaints involving uttering threats to do bodily harm, improper storage of a firearm, public intoxication, criminal harassment and 911 hang ups.

On Friday evening, members conducted extra patrols looking for impaired drivers. After 15 road-side screening tests, all drivers passed and no suspensions or charges were issued. The EPS thanks everyone for planning safe rides home and not driving while impaired.
