ESTEVAN - Gurwinder Singh Toor's homicide trial has been delayed.

The trial was supposed to run from Oct. 23-Nov. 3 in Estevan Court of King's Bench, but the dates have been pushed back and a new trial date has not been selected.

The trial date had been set since the summer of 2022.

Toor's next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 21.

Toor has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Angelo Galido, who was located deceased in his Estevan residence on June 7, 2021.

Toor, also of Estevan, was arrested nine days later in Calgary.

The two were known to each other.

He's the first person to be charged for homicide in the city since 2014.

None of the charges have been proven in court.
