SOUTHEAST SASKATCHEWAN - The freezing rain warning that was in effect for southeast Saskatchewan has come to an end.
Environment Canada issued the warning early Tuesday for Estevan, Weyburn, Carlyle and other areas. It was gradually lifted as the morning went along, and the last of the advisories ended at 11:35 a.m.
Conditions were expected to improve by mid morning in southeast Saskatchewan and by Tuesday afternoon in southwest Manitoba.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots were expected to become icy and slippery.
Most highways in the southeast continue to report that winter conditions exist.
