The owner of the Club Cafe, Lee had been honoured twice by the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce, in February 2000 with the first-ever Golden Service Award, and in 2004 when he was inducted into the Business Hall of Fame at the WEYBEX Awards.
He and his family moved to Weyburn in 1952, and Jack became the co-owner of the Club Cafe with his father in 1959; he became the sole owner in 1965 after his father's death.
The Golden Service award was determined by a poll of chamber members for providing a high standard of hospitality and customer service.
There will be a more extensive story about Jack Lee in next week's Review.
