A fundraiser is underway for Carnduff woman Cory Lynn Moe.

CARNDUFF - A GoFundMe campaign for a Carnduff woman seriously injured in Mexico has received excellent support.

Brianne Fitzpatrick launched the campaign for her sister, Cory Lynn Moe. Fitzpatrick noted that while her sister was on her honeymoon in Mexico, Moe was in a “tragic” accident that left her in critical condition from the injuries.

“Cory has since undergone cervical spine surgery and is recovering in the ICU,” Fitzpatrick wrote. “At this time, Cory is in the Hospital Joya in Puerto Vallarta where she has been receiving wonderful care while she is unable to return home.

“As many know, Cory is a passionate and dedicated registered nurse in long-term care. Through her kindness and compassion, Cory has touched many people's lives. Cory is in need of prayers and positive thoughts in this battle to recovery.

She is facing a long, hard and uncertain road.

Fitzpatrick said the fundraiser was requested by many friends, co-workers and the community as a way to show support through this means. Any donations are sincerely appreciated on behalf of the affected families.

Let's stand as one for team Cory,” wrote Fitzpatrick.
