The Rotary Club’s Golf Ball Drop fundraiser is fast approaching, with tickets still available for a chance to win one of three cash prizes.
The Golf Ball Drop is a joint project of the Weyburn and Estevan Rotary Clubs, and will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23, at the Weyburn Golf Club, with the drop of golf balls to take place at 5 p.m.
Numbered tickets for the drop are available for $5 each, and the numbers are matched up to the golf balls, which will be dropped from a crane high above a golf hole. The first three balls into the hole will win the cash prizes.
The prize for first place is $5,000, the second prize is $3,000 and the third prize is $1,000.
The proceeds of this fundraiser will be split between the STARS Air Ambulance, and the Weyburn and Estevan Rotary Clubs in support of their many community projects.
Tickets are available from any Rotary Club member, or at ticket tables set up over the next two weekends.
A ticket table will be set up at the Prairie Sky Co-op food store on Saturday, Sept. 16 and Friday, Sept. 22, and at the Wholesale Club on Thursday, Sept. 14 and Sept. 21.
