The heat warnings for southern Saskatchewan have now been lifted.

The advisories were issued on Saturday afternoon for south Saskatchewan and elsewhere due to temperatures that were expected to eclipse 30 C during the day. The warnings remained in effect for several days.

Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
