The new bylaw enforcement officer for the Estevan Police Service has been doing well since she started at the job earlier this month.
Special Constable Morgan Prentice was introduced at Thursday’s meeting of the Estevan board of police commissioners. She has been on the job for about three weeks.
Prentice has some background as a bylaw officer, as she held a similar job in Cobourg, Ont., about 17 years ago. She is excited to have this role in Estevan.
Police Chief Paul Ladouceur noted they had a high level of interest for the position, and Prentice certainly stood out with her experience. He believes she will do great in the job, and she has been busy in her first few weeks with parking tickets and inspection notices.
Next week’s edition of the Mercury will have more on this story.
