St. Joseph's Hospital CEO Greg Hoffort welcomes Dr. Boye Adaboye to Estevan.

Estevan has received some relief with its physician shortage, as a new physician has arrived in the city.

Dr. Boye Adeboye was welcomed to Estevan this week. Adeboye will commence a family medical practice with the Estevan Medical Group in the foundation medical building at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Greg Hoffort, executive director of St. Joseph’s Hospital, said that Adeboye offers the community services of another family medical practice.

The recruitment of Adeboye brings the physician count in Estevan to 10, with two more physicians expected to arrive shortly. Hoffort credits a collaborative between the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation, the participating municipalities and Sask. Docs for their efforts in regards to recruitment of physicians.

St. Joseph’s Hospital and the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation are pleased to have Adeboye join the Estevan medical team.

Next week's edition of the Mercury will have more on this story.
