One person pleads guilty to arson for 2022 fire in Lampman

LAMPMAN - One person has pleaded guilty to an arson charge in connection with a residential fire that occurred in Lampman in September of last year.

Chad Mokelkey pleaded guilty on June 13 to intentionally causing damage by fire to a property, and was sentenced to three years probation.

Emergency crews were called to the scene of the fire. The Estevan RCMP said nobody was injured, but the residence sustained extensive damage.

Lampman Fire and Rescue said all members worked tirelessly to ensure the fire didn’t spread to neighbouring houses. Lampman EMS was also called to the scene.
