Police respond to break and enters, property damage in northeast Estevan

Officers were also called about a couple of potential frauds on Tuesday.

ESTEVAN - Members of the Estevan Police Service received reports of break and enters, as well as damage to property, at several residences in the Hillside area on Tuesday night.

Police are still gathering information and ask the public to ensure that their residences, outdoor buildings and vehicles are secure.

Officers also received a report of a transport vehicle colliding with a fire hydrant. The motorist was located and the matter is still under investigation.

Police received a report of a fraud. The complainant was told their grandson was in jail and he needed money for bail. Officers were able to intervene and assist before any money was exchanged.

Another reported fraud was filed with police. Possible suspects were identified and the matter remains under investigation.

Police received a report of uttering threats. All parties were spoken to and the matter remains under investigation.
