Regina man charged with child porn offences appears in court

Chance Longman was arrested after the Saskatchewan ICE Unit raided a home in Regina in August.

REGINA – A 21-year-old Regina man charged with sexual sexual assault, sexual interference and four child-pornography related offences had more appearances in Regina Provincial Court.

Chance Adam Longman’s matter was set to be spoken to on Nov. 17 but it was adjourned to Dec. 7.

Longman was arrested after investigators from the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit and Regina Police Service VICE Unit raided a home on Aug. 24, which was identified where offences were occurring. Police seized several electronic devices and say their investigation is ongoing.

He was charged sexual assault, sexual interference, and four child-pornography related offences including making, distribution, making available, and possession of child pornography. The charges against Longman haven’t been tested in court.

The Regina Children’s Justice Centre assisted in the investigation. The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
