Wanda Scherban was watching television when she decided to scratch her BLACK PEARL ZING ticket. She was surprised when the $20 ticket won $250,000!
“I was shocked,” she said while claiming her prize at the Regina prize office.
“I never thought this would happen to me.”
Now that she has her cheque in hand, the Regina resident has one goal for her windfall.
“I’m really looking forward to paying down my mortgage,” she said. “The rest of the money will go in the retirement fund.”
Scherban purchased her winning ZING ticket at Giant Tiger, located at 2610 Victoria Ave. East in Regina.
Sask Lotteries is the main fundraiser for more than 12,000 sport, culture and recreation groups in communities across Saskatchewan.
