This past week, the Town of Carlyle warmly welcomed Genco Asphalt of Estevan to its streets.
Crews were busy for nearly a week repaving various areas around town. Sebastian McClement is the project manager.
“We were pleased to be able to be hired on by the Town of Carlyle and Carlyle Lions Pride. We repaved 2 1/2 blocks of streets for the town and paved the lot of the newly built Southern Plains Co-op liquor store. We also repaved the entire circle of Lions Pride and several of their driveways. We had great weather and the jobs were completed on time,” said McClement.
Genco has two asphalt plants, one in Estevan and one in Kisbey. The plant in Kisbey was used due to its closer proximity to Carlyle.
Frank Faber is the chairman of Lions Pride Estates.
“We were happy to have hired Genco and they did a great job. The crew was professional, and the finished product looks great.”
“We have been looking at repaving the circle and several driveways for three or four years now and it is nice to have the repaving done,” added George Anderson, who is the president of the Lions Pride Tenant’s Association. “I am confident that our tenants will be completely satisfied.”
Alice Savill is one of those tenants.
“I am very pleased with the new pavement,” she said. “The paving crew was very polite and did a fine job in such a short amount of time. We were barely inconvenienced. Lions Pride looks great, and I am happy I live here.”
