A special weather statement has been issued for Regina and southeast Saskatchewan.

UPDATE: Environment Canada has lifted the special weather statement that was in effect for southern Saskatchewan, including Regina, Estevan, Weyburn, Carlyle, Moosomin and other areas.

The advisory was issued Monday afternoon and remained in effect until late Thursday morning. The Colorado low brought lots of snow, but did not require a snowfall warning to be issued.

The system also caused problems on the highways, and travel not recommended advisories had to be issued for a number of routes in the southeast.

There is still some light snow in the forecast for the southeast, and then frigid temperatures are supposed to settle in next week.
