WEYBURN – Weyburn’s city crews focussed on clearing downtown routes on Friday going into the weekend.
The City asks for patience as the current weather conditions and heavy snow are making it difficult to clear roads and sidewalks efficiently. The snow is heavy, wet and roads are icy so conditions are difficult to make the cleanup happen quickly.
Contractors are being used to support with the downtown cleanup.
The City thanks the community for its patience and understanding during this unprecedented amount of snow.
The City’s Landfill was reopened on Friday, plus garbage collection in Area 1 and 2 and recycling collection in Area 2 and 3 is taking place. With the amount of snow, trucks will be slow moving today so the City is asking for residents patience.
The Weyburn Leisure Centre, Weyburn Art Gallery and Spark Centre are all open today for regular programming.
