The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the plans for the Annual Summer Parade. The Parade will take place on Wednesday, June 30, and will launch at 10:30 a.m.
More information is available on the Chamber website at www.weyburnchamber.com. The deadline is June 28to enter a float in the parade. Parade entries can be registered on the Chamber website or call the Chamber office at (306) 842-4738.
There is no charge to enter the Parade, and awards will be given to best entry in three categories of individual, organization and business.
“Every year the Chamber of Commerce works closely with the Weyburn City Police to ensure our parade participants and spectators are safe,” said Larry Heggs, Chamber Executive Director.
This year the Chamber has also discussed safety protocols surrounding COVID-19. The parade route will be the same route as in 2019, which was modified to avoid the busy construction area associated with Legacy Elementary School, and the Credit Union Spark Centre on Fifthstreet.
Organizers are advising everyone to stay in their vehicles or within arms length of their vehicle to watch the parade. There will be no barricades or candy thrown this year.
