Weyburn police arrest B.C. man for cocaine trafficking

A search warrant was executed at a Weyburn home, over half a kg of cocaine and cash found.

WEYBURN – The Weyburn Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit, with support from the Estevan Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit, the Joint Tactical Support Team, and Weyburn Police Service patrol members, executed a search warrant on a residence in Weyburn on June 30.

A 31-year-old B.C. male was found in the home and was arrested.

In the search of the home, police found over half a kilogram of cocaine with a street value of $86,000 and over $1,000 in cash.

The 31-year-old male has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purposes of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000.

He will make his first court appearance on Monday, July 4, in Estevan.
