Weyburn RBC branch donates to training, development of nurses

RBC presented a cheque for $10,000 to a group of nurses at Weyburn General Hospital, for the education and development of nurses.

WEYBURN – Patty Skjerdal, Kevin Livingstone and Denise Philip from RBC presented a cheque for $10,000 to Cheryl VanDeSype, Manager of Clinical Services, and some of the nurses at Weyburn General Hospital. 

RBC supports nurses through 24 donations to rural hospitals in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Northwest Ontario towards nursing education and professional development, over $200,000 in total. The RBC has selected four facilities across Saskatchewan to donate funds to support training and development of nurses. Weyburn was chosen as one of the recipients.

The past few years have been exceptionally difficult, and we salute your perseverance and continued work. Thank you for your commitment to the health and well-being of your patients and our community. Your talent, energy, and strength is truly inspiring,” said RBC in a statement about the donation.
