Regina, Weyburn – For those who will have a vehicle in the convoy as part of the April 4 Regina Rally Against the Carbon Tax, pay close attention: you need a sign in your windshield identifying you as part of the convoy.
Regina police informed convoy organizers on Mar. 28 that while the police will be controlling the intersections as the convoy progresses, the intersection red light cameras might still pick up on vehicles passing through. To avoid getting a ticket, the police have asked that all convoy participants affix a letter-sized page to the inside of their windshield with the word “CONVOY” in big, bold letters so they can be readable by the cameras. It should be placed in the centre of the windshield, below the eye line so as to not block the driver’s visibility.

The convoy will take place the morning of Thursday, April 4, and will end up at the Queensbury Centre on Regina’s west side. The rally will roll into Regina from the southeast corner, on Arcola Avenue, driving through the city of Regina via Arcola and then Saskatchewan Drive. It will turn right at Lewvan Drive and then right again into the Queensbury Centre for the rally. The convoy is scheduled to enter Regina at 11 a.m.
The four points the rally and convoy are raising include fighting the carbon tax (which begins in Saskatchewan on April 1), building pipelines, killing Bill C-69, the Impact Assessment Act, and killing Bill C-48, the tanker ban off the northern British Columbia coast. Premier Scott Moe will be the headline speaker at the event, along with several other speakers. The rally takes place at 2 p.m.
