The full 58-game Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League regular season schedule has been released, including the 28 home dates for the Estevan Bruins as they kick off the Centennial Cup season before hosting the national championship junior A tournament from May 20-29, 2022.
“Our whole organization cannot wait for hockey to return to Estevan and provide our fans with what should be the most entertaining season on the ice in quite some time,” said Danny Ewen, director of marketing and operations for the Bruins. “We’re anticipating that we’ll be able to play games to full fan capacity with little or no public health restrictions in place … so fans can just show up and cheer loudly and proudly for the Estevan Bruins.”
While all 28 home games will be “must-watch” hockey, here are a few highlights from the schedule release:
Sat. Sept. 24 at 7:30 p.m.: season opener versus the Yorkton Terriers;
Sun. Oct. 31 at 3 p.m.: Halloween game against the Melville Millionaires;
