The Estevan Elite captured the U11 tournament that was held in Regina on the weekend. Estevan defeated the Weyburn Wild 9-8 in the final.

It was a dramatic win, as the Elite scored the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the fourth and final inning. Lexi Turner scored the winning run after a hit by Kensie Aspinall.

The Elite went 2-1 in the round robin. They were second in their pool and advanced to the playoffs. Estevan defeated Gravelbourg in the quarter-final and Moose Jaw in the semifinal round.

A total of 19 teams were entered.

The Southeast Sun Devils U15 team, meanwhile, won their provincial championship Sunday by defeating the Parkland Predators 7-5 in the final in Saskatoon.

Then they beat the Riverdogs 13-5 in the semifinal.
