It was a successful season on the track for members of Estevan's Trackside Motocross Association while racing on the South Corner Racing Circuit.
More than two dozen Trackside riders were part of the circuit this season. The circuit, which was the only one to operate in Saskatchewan this summer, had a doubleheader in Estevan this summer, and also had events in Carlyle, Alameda, Weyburn and Assiniboia, giving racers from throughout southern Saskatchewan a chance to compete.
The season started July 11 and wrapped up Sept. 26.
Two young people won championships in the circuit. Deegan LeMoine won the title in the 65cc division. He was also ninth in 85cc.
Royce Milford was first in 50cc for the season and 14th in 65cc.
Other young races also thrived. Brooks Milford was third in 65cc and eighth in 85cc. Caden Fonstad was sixth in 65cc and 12th in 85cc. Cyrus Ferrill was ninth in 65cc.
Other Trackside members who had top 10 finishes for the season were: Cole Hagel was second in the A class and second in youth; Blair Fonstad was second in the veteran division and fourth in the B class; Chris Krause was fourth in C class; Dallas Fonstad was fifth in the veteran division and eighth in C class; Kaitlyn Alexander was fourth in the women's and 12th in the C class; Lucinda Milford was fifth in women's and 16th in C class; and Randy Franke was third in the veteran's class and fourth in two-stroke, and Bryce Friees was 10th in the A class.
Other riders competing this year were: Cole Barnstable was 11th in A class, Connor Barnstable, 12th in the A class; JJ Barnstable, 15th in the A class, Cain Kruger, 11th in B class; Zac Butler, 16th in B class; Ron Himmelspeck, 18th in B class; Sean Brown, 20th in B class; Roarke Franke, 22nd in B class; Steve Butler, 14th in the C class; Evan Barbour, 13th in 65cc; Lacey Barbour, 13th in 50cc; and Clay LeMoine, 13th in the vet class.
