PILOT BUTTE - Former Estevan Bruins' head coach and general manager Chris Lewgood has rejoined the Pilot Butte Storm of the Prairie Junior Hockey League for the 2023-24 season.

Lewgood previously spent nine years behind the Storm bench: three years as an assistant coach for Larry Lolacher and then six seasons as head coach. In four of those seasons, he also served as the team's general manager. In his six years as head coach, the Storm won six straight South Division championships and three PJHL titles.

After leaving the Storm following the 2012-13 season, Lewgood spent seven seasons as head coach and GM of the Bruins. He led Estevan to three straight division titles from 2017-2019, and guided them to Game 7 of the SJHL final in 2018.

He has spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach for the University of Regina Cougars.

He replaces Drew Kocur, who joined the Bruins as an assistant coach and assistant general manager in the spring.
