ESTEVAN - It might still be the offseason, but the Estevan Bruins have already announced their captain for the 2023-24 campaign.

Centre Keagon Little, who has played parts of the past three seasons in Estevan, will wear the captain’s “C” for his final season of junior hockey.

The Wymark product has been a key member of the Bruins since joining the club and played an important role in the 2021-22 SJHL championship season.

“I’m excited to get back to Estevan for the upcoming season,” said Little. “Looking forward to getting back to work with the boys and work towards a championship. It will be an honour to wear the ‘C’ for such a great organization.”

“Anytime you have a returning player that has the skillset that Keagon has [it] is obviously great for your hockey team, but when you add the leadership qualities Keagon has you know your team will be heading in the right direction under him,” said head coach and GM Jason Tatarnic. “As a staff we are really looking forward to working with Keagon and look forward to listening to his insight and ideas.”

Little started last season playing collegiate hockey with Briercrest College, but joined the Bruins after Christmas. He had seven goals and 19 points in 16 games in the regular season, and added a goal and two points in seven postseason games.
