The Southeast SuperNovas U19 softball team claimed the silver medal at the provincial under-19A ball championships held in Regina Aug. 6-8.
The team is made up of players from Carlyle, Alida, Oxbow, Alameda and Estevan.
This marks the third silver medal at provincials that his team has won since 2017. They also have come home with a bronze and were the silver medallist at the 2019 Western Canadian Softball Championships.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the national championship has been cancelled or this finish would have seen the team qualify for the tournament, originally to be held in Quebec.
