WEYBURN – Rick Hallberg must love playing in the FrameTech Classic at the TS&M Woodlawn Golf Course in Estevan.
The Weyburn golfer won the tournament’s senior men's division for the third straight year, finishing 19 strokes ahead of Estevan’s Rob Peloquin.
Hallberg was the dominant golfer in the field from the outset. He shot a 5-under-par 67 in the first round on Saturday to take a 13-stroke advantage. Then he had a 73 in the middle round Sunday and a 69 in the final round Monday.
He was the only player in the senior men’s division to shoot under par in a round.
When Hallberg won the senior men’s event in Estevan for the first time in 2021, he set a new course record at Woodlawn by shooting a 59.
