Radville 4-H Beef members hold public speaking contest

The entire Radville 4-H Beef Club met to host their annual Public Speaking competition on Feb. 19 in Gladmar.

WEYBURN – The entire Radville 4-H Beef Club met to host their annual Public Speaking competition on Feb. 19 in Gladmar.

Four members will advance to District 7 Public Speaking competition, which was to be held on March 3, but was postponed to a later date due to the snow storm.

Radville is hosting this competition where approximately 22 members representing six clubs from the Weyburn surrounding areas. Members advancing from this level will compete in Estevan on March 16 at Southeast Regional Public Speaking.

Two of Radville 4-H Beef Club members advanced to SE Regional Curling in Whitewood on January 20. Members Kassi and Presley Woitas curled with Cooper and Alex Bloor of the Lomond 4-H Beef Club.

Once the weather warms up and hockey season is over, the Radville members will get together for demo days and tours of a local vet clinic and local feedlot.
