Two injured in train-truck collision on Queen Street in Weyburn

The Weyburn Fire Department and Weyburn Police Service were called to the scene of a train-truck collision at the crossing on Queen Street on Wednesday evening.

WEYBURN - The Weyburn Fire Department and Weyburn Police Service were called to the scene of a train-truck collision at the crossing on Queen Street, just off Highway 39 on Wednesday evening.

Police at the scene said the two passengers in the pickup truck were taken to the Weyburn General Hospital with injuries.

The police were investigating the scene for clues as to what happened, and the Fire Department was on hand to lend assistance.

Both rail crossings on the city's west end were blocked until the train was able to move.
