WEYBURN - The Weyburn Junior A Eagles girls volleyball team hosted a 10-team tournament on Friday and Saturday, and the girls finished second overall.
The Weyburn team lost in a hard-fought battle to Swift Current by the scores of 25-22 and 25-20 in the finals.
The Jr. A girls finished second in their pool, then beat the WCS B team in the quarter-finals and beat Ogema in the semi-finals.
Pool A consisted of the WCS Jr. A host team, Ogema, Estevan, Swift Current and Alameda; in pool B was the WCS B team, St. Michael, Stoughton, Oxbow and Vibank.
